Its that time of the year again! BUKU Music * Art Project is amongst us and this year lineup looks to be as promising as its past years. Of course, our boy, Travis Scott is featured as a main headliner of the event, possibly performing all of latest album “Birds in the Trap Sing Mcknight” and using BUKU as the first show of his recently announced tour. Travis is known to give one hell of a show, so I cant expect anything less than an amazing performance from him. Hopefully we get a glimpse of what his tour will be like with props and all, but even if not I know the show will be high energy and hopefully some raving and mosh pitting. Same can go for the other headliner, Deadmau5, who will not only bring the beats, but the energy will be through the roof! Please make sure you prepare yourself mentally and physically for the next two days as both of these acts will have you drained, exhausted, and possibly out of your mind from how hype and energetic the performances will be. I’ve never been to a Deadmau5 show live but have only seen previews from Youtube, and I’m already mesmerized by the stage sets and lights. I’m just wondering if he will wear his Mouse head the whole performance or not. Next on our list of who to catch will be Young Thug and 21 Savage who is listed to perform this year as well. Both acts bring an certain edge to them. Young Thug with his latest album “Jeffery” will probably be rapping most of the cuts from there. I hope he at least plays on of my favorites “Danny Glover” which is an oldie but goodie in my book. 21 Savage on the other hand is a very new face in the music game with only 2 hits in my eyes, so Im not sure what to expect from him. Sometimes new faces can over do a performance by singing stuff no one knows but hopefully he sticks to the basis and just delivers the good stuff everyone wants to hear. Same can go for Lil Yachty, who is his classmate in the XXL Freshmen Cover for last year and is still living off the hype. It will be interesting to see how they hold up and deliver for this event. Vince Staples who is still very much underground than the other two will be performing as well which will be a dope set to watch. However, a low key excitement is around seeing Lil Dicky perform as he has some major hits. Not only can he spit, his creative and wit on his tracks makes him very enjoyable and different to listen to than some of his musical peers. Other performers we will try to get to see are Thundercat, who just released an incredible album, $uicideBoy$, Kaiydo, and New Orleans Own, Ambre. Along with great musical performances, we are also looking forward to great artwork, dope merchandise, random break dancing, cold drinks, and great food. Of course the TWALIFE Crew will be on site, catching all of this year’s festivities and attractions. So join us if you are planning on coming and get BUKU Turnt with us!
